Gratulojn al ambaŭ!

It's a congratulation letter on his 25000th sentence... probably meant for all, but mraz likes to be very cryptic :-)

Great idea, Brauchinet! :-)

Thanks CK! Great improvement.

Can you check IP numbers? Of course, this is also only a partial solution. Some providers give to clients a new IP number every day ...

PaulP PaulP September 8, 2015 September 8, 2015 at 10:55:03 AM UTC link Permalink

You can also change your sentence a little. But be quick, because Horus is quick too ;-)

Isn't the usual procedure to add the tag @change to the sentence? Then a list is created automatically,

see for English: https://tatoeba.org/epo/tags/fo...rators/561/eng
or for French: https://tatoeba.org/epo/tags/fo...rators/561/fra

> 1. What kind of sentences do you mark as "unsure"?
I'm not sure if a sentence is wrong and I didn't have time to check in grammars or dictionaries. After checking, I will change it to OK or Wrong.

> 2. Have you ever thought about rating a sentence and then decided not to? If so, why?
When the sentence was OK on itself, but not the precise translation of a linked sentence.

> 3. How do you rate sentences that you know are correct but which you wouldn't use yourself?
As OK.

> 4. Do you have any kind of collection that consists of good things and bad things and things you're unsure of? (Right now, the whole set of sentences that you marked as "OK", "unsure" or "not OK" is called a collection right now.)
No. I only check the "not OK" group now and then in order to verify if the author or an admin corrected it.

> I can't adopt/unadopt sentences on my Smartphone. Is anybody else having this problem?

Yes. Same here on my iPhone. The programmers are aware of the problem.

PaulP PaulP August 19, 2015 August 19, 2015 at 7:33:59 AM UTC link Permalink

I can't answer, but the thoughts are very interesting!

PaulP PaulP August 18, 2015 August 18, 2015 at 5:59:04 AM UTC link Permalink

1) If a flag is wrong, what is the worst that can happen? An other incorrect flag, no? :-) But I suppose that in most cases a correct flag will be the result. Thanks for reconsidering!

2) I indicated in my profile the languages that I take care of.

PaulP PaulP August 17, 2015 August 17, 2015 at 7:41:41 AM UTC link Permalink

Request: As far as I can see, corpus maintainers can only change a wrong flag to the flag of one of their profile languages.

See e.g. https://tatoeba.org/epo/sentences/show/4224604

Would be easy if we could with one click solve such a problem.

> There is however currently no page that lists what were the last sentences marked as "not OK".

I think a list of all sentences marked as "not OK" (not just the last ones) would be a very good feature. We all learn from our mistakes, no?

PaulP PaulP August 17, 2015 August 17, 2015 at 5:55:14 AM UTC link Permalink

> Why does it have to be so troublesome, both for us and for admins?

Yeah, I also don't see the advantage. It's not about one or two sentences. In Dutch I can adopt at least a hundred good ones.

PaulP PaulP August 15, 2015 August 15, 2015 at 2:43:38 PM UTC link Permalink

"Adopt sentences from deativated accounts". We can adopt them, but they stay red. Is that the idea?

e.g. https://dev.tatoeba.org/epo/sentences/show/3315450

PaulP PaulP August 12, 2015 August 12, 2015 at 3:07:08 PM UTC link Permalink

I suppose it's not yet possible to find my sentences that others have marked as wrong, is it?

PaulP PaulP August 11, 2015, edited August 11, 2015 August 11, 2015 at 3:49:57 PM UTC, edited August 11, 2015 at 4:03:25 PM UTC link Permalink

Confirmed. I just tested it again.

The 3 pics appear only partly on my screen. Can there be any relation?

See: http://www.ipernity.com/gp/paul.../5014/e7840e94

I know that I have to manually refresh to see the rating. But on iPhone you can't rate at all. The 3 icons are not "clickable", they don't turn into green.

PaulP PaulP August 11, 2015 August 11, 2015 at 10:12:42 AM UTC link Permalink

Rating doesn't work on mobile devices? At least not on my iPhone.
