*formed ?

"I go to bed early for a long time." to me is a bit weird as a sentence. In Chinese, it expresses a habitual activity; therefore, I chose to use the present perfect tense. Though in fact there's no "form" in Chinese, I still consider it closer to its original meaning.

"I've formed a habit of going to bed early for a long time." ->
"For a long time, I've had a habit of going to bed early." OR
"Long ago, I formed a habit of going to bed early." OR
"Over a long period of time, I've formed a habit of going to bed early."

No answer. Fixed.

Thanks, Ricardo.
