on the rest of the sentence.
You are right, it should be in منصوب , I think that it's the most common mistake (at least for me) because it's rarely spoken and just for grammar.
كان قميصه رماديا وربطة العنق صفراءً.
It is indeed rarely spoken...
But it's good grammar, isn't it? :)
(At any rate, the sentence with the two "mansub" additions looks pretty strange, as we are not accustomed to it).
