No entiendo la frase, no tiene mucho sentido para mi.
Lo que no entiendo empieza en "como...". Me suena algo raro.

No toda la gente tiene la suerte de nacer en países desarrollados "y así aprender a leer", o "y puede aprender a leer"

Es que "como para..." se usa en frases como:
esto está como para echarse a llorar
Como para entrar en casa y tomarse un trago, vamos.

Es una frase algo extraña al usar esto. Da un sentido negativo. No se explicarlo mejor. Yo pondría:

- No toda la gente tiene la suerte de nacer en países desarrollados y aprende a leer.

No se explicarlo mejor... Pienso que es un poco "slang"

No se. Da igual. Solamente te digo, creo que es un error sintáctico/semántico. Ya te he puesto mis versiones. Haz lo que creas necesario ^^
