"Party" ist kein Deutsch.

You know very well about Dänglisch that English-speaking German teenagers are too happy to speak to you... But that's not German...you're just being fooled by your own situation...

>Considering as it's been used for more than 100 years, I don't think it's just the German teens, as well as my German professors/teachers using it.
I just proved the contrary with references from most of German literature, indexed by Google...
You asserted that it is "often" used and it's just not true. "fest" is much more used.
If your concept of living in Europe to learn languages is to consider your English wiords as local, then you'll learn nothing and should as well have remained home...
In any case, using English words in German when you write exemplary sentences in German, and you are a native English speaker yourself is bizarre to say the least...provocation at worst...

> as well as my German professors/teachers using it.
Your German professors for...English speakers...
Did you try the professors for Turkic or Russian speakers ? What about the professors for German speakers ?

Hallo Ihr beiden!
Sowohl „Party“ wie „Quatsch“ werden in der deutschen Umgangssprache ganz selbstverständlich gebraucht! ☺
Natürlich kann man als Alternative das herkömmliche Wort „Feier“ verwenden.
„Party“ gehört inzwischen - auch wenn man ob seiner fremdsprachigen Herkunft verwundert sein mag - zum sogenannten „Zertifikat Deutsch“ (einem Kenntnisnachweis für Deutsch als Fremdsprache).

@Tamy
Sagen oft deine Eltern "Party" ?

>Suggesting that literary German is anything like spoken German would be a quite a mistake.
You're not the only one to have ever lived in Germany. I've lived in Germany as well and have been invited to and attended various parties and NEVER heard anybody talk about "Party".
