מעיל - מורידים, כמו כל חלק לבוש.

מציע לתרגם את אחד המשפטים האחרים:
למה שלא תוריד את המעיל שלך?

Thanks. I took להשיל from a story by Etgar Keret. I guess the word was a bit too expressive for an ordinary phrase. Precisely same two meanings there are for the analogue Russian word сбрасывать.

Concerning the proposal "not to translate", which I get for the second time from you already: In general, I do take it often, when I am clueless as for the solution. But still more often, I play "the professional translator", who GOT TO DO IT SOME WAY OR ANOTHER. Axiom: once there is an expression, there should be a way to express it in another language (if it is worth it :)

Of course, you are not bound to cope with my, to put it mildly, Hebrew imperfections. But please, save me the trouble of explaining this strategy again. If the effort is done, it might well be worth it. Believe me, in my case each Hebrew letter is really an effort. Thanks for understanding.

The English didn't sound to me as conforming to this very Hebrew wording, and this is why I suggested that you use this wording for one of the other variants, which do sound natural to my ear - and are also worded same as the Hebrew. But as you wish.
