המשפט העברי נכון ויפה. אבל, לטעמי, הוא תרגום חופשי מאוד מרוסית. ברוסית כתוב:
эта работа хорошая
כלומר, "זו עבודה טובה". לא בהכרח "חברה". מה דעתך?

בכל אופן, בתור תרגום מאוד חופשי מרוסית - המשפט מצא חן בעיניי.

thanks a lot for your comments! I am translating from Hebrew to Russian (the Hebrew phrase I already had, a native speaker said it to me and I am writing down all this). I would be grateful if you show me where are my mistakes :)

OK, then. I'll have to read carefully the Russian sentences, and tell you where they weren't so close to the Hebrew original. I thought you wrote the Hebrew first, and only then translated the variants into Russian.

I meant:

Now I understand that it was quite the opposite.

No, unfortunately I am not a native speaker, I am just learning :) My fiance is a native Hebrew speaker, I understand almost everything, but can't express myself in speaking :)

OK, then it seems my own feeling didn't mislead me - you do understand the Hebrew perfectly. It's just that sometimes, when you render it in Russian, the translation seems a bit more free than usual. It does convey the original meaning, but while doing so, it changes the original meaning a bit.
