Did you mean "No autumn fruit without spring blossom." is a saying? (Because it, allegedly, is)

Yes, it is, but it seemed far enough away from "蒔かぬ種は生えぬ" to be a bit misleading. If you feel it's OK, put it back, but maybe add "[Proverb]".

I'll put it as a separate 'translation' and leave this one for the WWWJDIC entry.
