Ich würde sagen weder noch. Gardinen kommen normalerweise als Paar, deshalb sagt man eher Gardinen als Gardine.

Alles klar. Eine Variante hinzuzufügen ist immer legitim. Zu sagen, die Sätze seien unterschiedlich, weil Singular/Plural unterschiedlich sind, halte ich für gewagt, weil durchaus Variationen in der Übersetzung möglich sind. Man muss auch ein bisschen pragmatisch bleiben, weil man sonst sehr sehr viele Sätze trennen müsste, die keine buchstäblichen Übersetzungspaare sind.
