unsinniges
„Experten“

Well why don't you use the proper quotation marks for English, eh?
Crying blue murder over that glaring inequality may be amusing.

>Well why don't you use the proper quotation marks for English, eh?

If you're referring to me, I don't know what you mean. I always use the correct English quotation marks.

Also I was hardly "crying blue murder" (once again, if you were referring to me). Just suggesing Gänsefüßchen be used (they look much better than English marks in a German sentence).

Well I don't think " " are used in books, hmm? "Correct", more like lazy. The curly ones used in books certainly look much better. :>
I mean I'm quite fed up with the fact some language corpuses here enforce the classic quotation marks (whatever they are for that language) and some don't. I'd rather have them enforced uniformly then.

It's not that, Ooneykcall. The straight ones are not to be had for German, I suppose.

Consider „“ as a present and accept them gracefully.

It is just that, and anyone's attempts to paint the situation differently won't change the fact that, purely out of silly tradition, using the computer quotes, which are not used in books, is favoured in some language corpuses here and discouraged in other. The present situation isn't right and ought to be rectified.

Why did you use German quotation marks in this sentence of yours then: #4140652?

Zeug, nicht → Zeug nicht
(Usern → Mitgliedern, Besuchern, Benutzern)

Well, that "I couldn't care less about what happens outside my field" attitude is a sorry one, I say.
Was es "User" angeht, das sagen die Leute tatsächlich, also stimmt das, ob man es mag oder nicht.

@raggione: because I don't favour any one way, don't you think? :D
