From the English it's more likely to be the "drop out from school" meaning than the "I'm going home now" meaning.

err I have both meanings in the arabic...

So as I in Polish.

school -> the school / a school [?]

When someone says "leave school' It means the institution, not a building. So translations that indicate leaving the building are not really appropriate for this sentence. When "a" or "the" are used, that would indicate a (school) building.
