Bei herauf befindest du dich im Dorf. Die Beschreibungen der anderen Sprachen gehen aber eher vom Weg aus, an dessen Ende das Dorf steht. "その" indiziert, dass du dich nicht im Dorf befindest. Auch das Englische klingt eher so.

Ich kopiere mal einen Text, den ich dazu gefunden habe:

Hin und her: In general, hin indicates motion away from
the speaker, her motion toward the speaker. These words are
usually used as separable prefixes. If you are in a room, you might want to say to someone standing in the corridor: Kommen Sie herein!

After viewing a church from the outside, someone might suggest to his/her companions: Gehen wir hinein! If a person goes out of a room (or a church, etc.), one can report in German: Er/sie geht hinaus. If you are standing outside waiting impatiently, you might say: Hoffentlich kommt er/sie bald wieder heraus.

Hmm, es kann sein, dass man im Dialekt nicht "hin" sagt, aber im Hochdeutschen gibt es einen klaren Unterschied, und beide Präfixe müssen je nach Kontext benutzt werden.
