True. "selo suno" may be any kind of protection. I will let this sentence as it is, because vague sentences fit toki pona's aesthetics.

"pi" can't take only one word after it, so it is "ko selo suno" = "solar protection cream". I think "ko pi selo suno" is better: cream of solar protection.

The sentence isn't wrong, but I would suggest:

kepeken ala selo suno -> kepeken selo suno ala
I know that it is possible to negate prepositions, but I see that negation typically only when the preposition takes the position of the main verb.

la -> , la

I think "kepeken selo suno ala" is also correct, but for me it makes more sense to negate the preposition. I know it's not very useful comparing to English, and I don't know if toki pona should be similar in this context, but think of "without sunscreen" vs. "with no sunscreen".

I added the comma.
