(by Chamaeleo)
『 Yes, it would be totally correct, and contain all the information necessary to pronounce it correctly.

Most people don’t bother with macrons for tattoos and suchlike though.

In vītā voluptātis dolōrisqve illaqveātus
(That’s my way.)

in vītā voluptātis dolōrisque illaqueātus
(The Cambridge Latin textbooks would have it like this, with u after q, and no capital even for the first letter of the sentence.)

in uitā uoluptātis dolōrisque illaqueātus
(The Oxford Latin Grammar would have it like this, with v never used, and again no capitals at all.)

In uita uoluptatis dolorisque illaqueatus
(My Latin textbook that I bought in France would have it like this, with v never used, and no long vowels marked.)

In vītā voluptātis dolōrisque illaqueātus
(The Collins series of dictionaries would have it like this, with u after q.)

In vita voluptatis dolorisque illaqueatus
(LatinLibrary.com (and Matthæus!) would have it like this, with u after q, and no long vowels marked.)

IN·VITA·VOLVPTATIS·DOLORISQVE·ILLAQVEATVS
(Most Roman inscriptions would have it more or less like this, in all caps, dots instead of spaces, no U.)

IN·VÍTÁ·VOLVPTÁTIS·DOLÓRISQVE·ILLAQVEÁTVS
(Some inscriptions marked long vowels with an ‘apex’, which looks like a modern acute accent (e.g. ‘café’).)

IN·VITÁ·VOLVPTATIS·DOLORISQVE·ILLAQVEATVS
(The grammarian Quintilian recommended that the apex only be put on words that could have a different meaning without it.) 』

> qve

Ой-ой.

Я так понимаю, после q и g мы пишем u потому, что там какое-то время в средневековье произносилось /w/ тогда, когда остальные v уже стали произноситься /v/. :?

> VÍTÁ

Вроде бы писали вместо VꟾTÁ через i longa. :?

> qve

Наверное, автор руководствуется принципом v = [w], u = [u].

> Вроде бы писали вместо VꟾTÁ через i longa.

Похоже, что да…

> Похоже, что да…

По крайней мере, до 2 века н. э.

> About the end of the republic a new device makes its appearance—
> the so-called ‘apex’ placed above the vowel symbol; this, however,
> does not appear on the vowel i until the second century A.D.
