
I suggest changing the “猫子” to the much more common “猫兒”. By making this change we could also prevent repetition of the the character “子”, which would make the whole sentence sound a bit 累赘 (sorry but I can’t come up with an English equivalent for this word :-P).
Also, I think adding a 了 at the end of the sentence would make it sound more natural.

猫在椅子睡觉。
就那句法语句子来看,你不知道猫睡着了没有

Whoops, I totally forgot the simplified character for 兒 is 儿 :-P
