Google estimate of 612,000 results for "にならないよう注意".
2,420,000 for "にならないように注意"

I agonized for a while on that, then decided to go for the more kosher and common form. I feel the に-less version has a colloquial nuance.

Actually I think it's the other way round. I feel it sounds more authoritative without the に.
