A Question for native English speakers:

What do you call ice cream sold in this kind of container -- one serving size?

カップアイス ("cup ice", Wasei-eigo)

I've never had to call it anything, since I've never seen it before

Americans tend to be greedy and buy a whole tub of it, in my experience, so they can eat more of it then they want
As for Mexicans, if we just want a bit of ice cream, we'd often just buy an ice cream pop (paleta de helado)

I'd honestly just call it ice cream, a mini serving

>I've never had to call it anything, since I've never seen it before
Ah? Don't you have カップアイス in the U.S.?

>Americans tend to be greedy and buy a whole tub of it, in my experience, so they can eat more of it then they want.
Haha! That's too dangerous.

>I'd honestly just call it ice cream, a mini serving
How much ice cream do you eat for one snack time?

"One serving" or "mini serving" wouldn't work for a good translation.

The intention of the sentence is that the speaker wants that particular kind, as opposed to ...

https://jp.glico.com/ice/giant/

https://parm-ice.jp/lineup/chocolate/index.html

etc.

Obviously my idea isn’t verygood for a translation, I was just giving my experience and thoughts

Sure! I love them all, too.
