How to do when your sentence is a duplicate?

You can have the sentence deleted. I cannot do this either, though.
Write simply a comment, whether a "corpus maintainer" could delete it. Ok? Chao ... ;))

Why delete?
1-) Ask an advanced contributor to unlink it from sentences its been linked.
2) Simply change the sentence to something else.

This is how I would do. Isn't it a proper solution?

I just did the first step. You can now change it to another sentence in a language you like. :)

Thank you for the tips ... Indeed, I sometimes change the sentence (before anyone translates it) hahahaah ... but once it's translated by somebody else in an another language, it's too late to change it. Anyway, in the future, I'll contact advanced users to relink them.

Well in my opinion little changes in a sentence shouldn't be requiring unlinking, as long as you leave a comment below those translated from yours and make sure changes are implemented. Basically you would let other contributors who translated your sentence know that the original has been changed, so they should do the necessary alterations accordingly.

But in the case of a duplicate it is a little bit different because the translated sentences already have a true correspondence to which they should be linked.

I believe these ways of handling such issues are in line with tatoeba rules. If not, I would be glad to have opinions from more experienced users.
