Suggest: check it and ...
check *out sounds like leaving a hotel or so.

But isn't "check it out" used in English quite frequently in the sense of "Give it a try" or "Have a look at this"? I'm not a native speaker, but "check it out" sounds perfectly normal to me, albeit perhaps a little colloquial.

Suggest to leave out the comma and also change the second part of the sentence:
