since i dont know any japanese, i dont want to change this, but shouldnt it be "this day of the week", "this day" or "this week"?

even without a link to the japanese sentence: is this really a correct english sentence? if yes, what does it mean?

the german one sounds as strange in german as this translation does in english: "He won the prize of this day of the week."

A decade later and the erroneous English sentence remains unchanged. Judging by the Portuguese sentence, the English sentence should read “He won the prize last week”.

That corrected version exists so I linked that Portuguese to the English and Japanese.
